What a wonderful house and we have all had a fantastic week! The outside kitchen was an added bonus and the hpt tub, the icing on the cake! We hope to return soon.

We rented Upwey House in January 2024 for a long weekend with family and friends to celebrate my 50th birthday. It was simply perfect. The house itself is stunning and the grounds beautiful. Wonderful place to spend 18th and 80th birthdays. So many things to interest all ages. Lovely atmosphere in the beautiful surroundings and such a wonderful house for hiding games! Kitchen full of everything we needed and & bedrooms have such comfortable warmth. The welcoming chocolate brownies were delicious & greatly appreciated. Having essentials provided when we arrived ready for a cup of tea – we loved. Thank you for providing so much to enjoy!

An action packed 6 days were enjoyed here.  This warm and rambling house lent itself to games, family meals and lots of trips to local beaches, wineries, the WW11 Museum and cycling. The weather was kind and Sarah-Jayne was extremely quick with any reply to a query. We all absolutely loved it. A wonderful house and garden to stay in during our wonderful family 80th birthday celebration. Many shared many laughs around the table. The gardens have seen many games of manhunt and the stream has been swum in ….the house is great for hide and seek when it rains too. We have loved our weekend here. About twenty one of us from four generations.  Everything we needed was provided and I was appreciative of the new front bedroom. This is a lovely home with glorious grounds and we have been lucky with the weather. Upwey village is delightful and the Wishing Well coffee shop/

Wow, what a place to gather & celebrate all manner of significant birthdays. We peaked on Sunday with 23 family members from 1-93 and a combined age of 1012 for an epic roast. Wow, we have all been rendered speechless by this perfect house. We have all enjoyed the outdoor spaces, duck racing in the stream being a particular favourite with grown ups and kids alike. From the moment we drove up we knew Upwey house would be an amazing place to stay for our family holiday. We had a fantastic week. Plenty to do for everyone from 3 months to 87 years old. We thoroughly recommend and will be back.

Upwey House is truly a hidden gem and sparkles in so many ways. Our stay there was a three-generation family get-together with participants ranging from a two year old to the near eighties. The house and grounds have so much to offer to all ages that there was never a dull moment. As an added bonus, there were sparrow hawks nesting just tens of metres in front of the house!

The children thought they were in Wonderland both inside the house and in the grounds (the forest, the stream, the fields, plus the football pitch). The parents also thought they were in Wonderland in the kitchen which offers everything the budding chef could hope for!

All the rooms are consistent with ‘tasteful charm’, giving a tangible feeling of tranquillity and calm. Its elevated location provides extensive views over the nearby countryside, virtually to the sea. It also enjoys a very private position, adding to its peacefulness.

If our experience is anything to go by, the owners pay especial attention to each of their guests to ensure that their stay is comfortable and memorable. We very much appreciated what they did for us. They were exceptionally responsive, we usually heard back from them within a few hours at most.  Likewise, the housekeeper was similarly attentive and did everything to put us at our ease on arrival and through our stay.

Whilst our visit was as a family holiday, the venue offers the perfect spot, elegance and facilities for any special event or anniversary.
